83-Year-Old Woman Writes Letter To Friend – The Last Line Leaves Me In Tears. Everyone Should Read This

We probably live in the most upsetting and stressful period of human history.

It’s almost sad how we humans waste time and just chase things, the perfect moment, the best job.

Sometimes, it feels like we’re missing the journey itself, which is life.

And life isn’t always perfect — although it might seem like that watching your friends’ pictures on Facebook or Instagram.

Sometimes, it’s about being able to see the big things in the small and actually living in the present.

And sometimes, you have to realize your dreams, instead of just chasing them.

Which is why we’d like to share this letter from 83-year-old woman to her friend. We can’t verify whether it’s genuine or not, but the words go straight to the heart, especially the last line.

“Dear Bertha,

I’m reading more and dusting less.

I’m sitting in the yard and admiring the view without fussing about the weeds in the garden.

I’m spending more time with my family and friends and less time working.

Whenever possible, life should be a pattern of experiences to savor, not to endure.

I’m trying to recognize these moments now and cherish them.

I’m not ‘saving’ anything; we use our good china and crystal for every special event such as losing a pound, getting the sink unstopped, or the first Amaryllis blossom.

I wear my good blazer to the market. My theory is if I look prosperous, I can shell out $28.49 for one small bag of groceries.

I’m not saving my good perfume for special parties, but wearing it for clerks in the hardware store and tellers at the bank.

‘Someday’ and ‘one of these days’ are losing their grip on my vocabulary. If it’s worth seeing or hearing or doing, I want to see and hear and do it now.

I’m not sure what others would’ve done had they known they wouldn’t be here for the tomorrow that we all take for granted. I think they would have called family members and a few close friends. They might have called a few former friends to apologize and mend fences for past squabbles. I like to think they would have gone out for a Chinese dinner or for whatever their favorite food was. I’m guessing; I’ll never know.

I’s those little things left undone that would make me angry if I knew my hours were limited. Angry because I hadn’t written certain letters that I intended to write one of these days. Angry and sorry, that I didn’t tell my husband and parents often enough how much I truly love them.

I’m trying very hard not to put off, hold back, or save anything that would add laughter and luster to our lives.

And every morning when I open my eyes, I tell myself that it is special. Every day, every minute, every breath truly is a gift.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.”

Please take a few seconds and share this with someone you really care about. And let’s remember to live life while we still have the chance!

Love And Respect Your Parents In Their Old Age – Heart Touching Story

An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45 years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.

The Father asked his Son, “What is this?” The Son replied “It is a crow”. After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, “What is this?” The Son said “Father, I have just now told you “It’s a crow”. After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, What is this?” At this time some expression of irritation was felt in the Son’s tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. “It’s a crow, a crow”.A little after, the Father again asked his Son the 4th time, “What is this?”

This time the Son shouted at his Father, “Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times ‘IT IS A CROW’. Are you not able to understand this?”

A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary :

“Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child”.

While the little child asked him 23 times “What is this”, the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.

So.. If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents. From today say this aloud, “I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child. They have always showered their selfless love on me.

They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to make me a person presentable in the society today”. Say a prayer to God, “I will serve my old parents in the BEST way. I will say all good and kind words to my dear parents, no matter how they behave.

Thanks for spending your time on reading this story…… Hope YOU are forwarding this to all your friends.

Respect Your Parents In Their Old Age

We get so busy and lost in growing up, we forget that our parents are growing old too. Just like they have been there for us all their lives, it’s the time for us to be there for them. Just hug them and tell them, you are always there for them. Parents don’t require anything special from their grown-up children, but love, care, and respect are just the 3 things any person of any age wants in his/her life.

Here’s the heart touching story about a mother & her son

After father’s death, the son decided to leave his mother at an old age home. He visits her to the old-age home on and off.

Once he received a call from the old age home… The nurse said, “Your mom is very serious please come and visit her.”

So, the son went and saw that his mom was very critical and on her dying bed.

He asked his Mom, “What can I do for you?”

Mom replied:

“Please install fans in the old age home, as there are none. Also, put a fridge for the betterment of food because many times I slept without food”.

The son was surprised and asked: Mom, while you were here you never complained, but now you have few hours left and you are telling me all this, why?

That mother’s reply will leave you in tears….

Mom replied:

“It’s OK dear, I’ve managed with the heat, hunger pain, but when your children will send you here, I am afraid you will not be able to manage.!”

Respect your parents. They’ve sacrificed their pleasures just to fulfill all your demands and wishes.
